A MESSAGE FROM PATTI LUPONE

“I AM DELIGHTED TO ANNOUNCE CSC'S COMING BACK STRONGER CAMPAIGN”

I hope that this letter finds you healthy and well during this challenging time. 2020 has been a difficult year for all of us, and if you’re like me you’ve been missing live theater dearly. It feels like years since I was last inside a theater, and as soon as we’re able to, returning to Classic Stage Company will be at the top of my list.

The shutdown has had an impact on all of our lives and has presented enormous challenges to not-for-profit theaters like CSC. This theater inspires over 40,000 people a year through engaging, award-winning productions and impactful educational programs. Under the leadership of my dear friend John Doyle, CSC is truly a home for classic works of the world’s repertory brought to new life at its beloved theater on 13th Street. But this work is now unfortunately on pause.

To address the impact caused by the shutdown, I am delighted to announce that CSC is launching the Coming Back Stronger Campaign. The Campaign will raise the funds to secure the long-term success of the company. This is a place for all of us to show our support for CSC and to express how important theater is to our community.

Support is more crucial now than ever, as CSC needs help to reopen its doors. Through the generosity of CSC’s Board of Directors and several of its closest friends, the Coming Back Stronger Campaign has already exceeded the halfway point of its $500,000 goal, and I’m writing to you today to ask you to join them in showing CSC your support.

CSC will come back, bringing us fresh takes on timeless stories, and I believe it will return a stronger company than ever before. But it needs your help to do so. Please consider making a contribution and do what you can to support this special theater. Your gift to the Coming Back Stronger Campaign today will help secure CSC’s future and will make all the difference when we can return to the stage.

Thank you so much for considering our request, and please stay safe and healthy.
